When every mobile brand is busy launching budget tablets and phablets, Zync has decided to foray into a very important segment as far as Indian mobile market is concerned. The cheap dual-sim market is where the Zync Global Private Limited has now its eyes set on. After launching their budget phablets and tablets and their success, Zync looks to repeat the success in this volume segment.
“This is the first time we have entered the mobile phone category. With the mobile segment growing by leaps and bounds and recording sales of around 200 million units in 2012, we felt this was the right time to expand our horizon and enter a new territory. With the launch of these six new cell phones, we aim to bring a powerful and dependable device with great features at a very affordable price point,” this is what Amul Mittal, the co-founder of Zync global had to say at the launch.
All these devices come with dual-SIM standby and have support for both English and Hindi languages. They come in colour options of black and red. Also, they support multiple formats for images and the screens vary from 1.8 inches in size for the C18 and go all the way upto 2.6 inches for the C30. The common features include a complementary 4GB memory card, USB connectivity, Bluetooth support, a dual LED torch light, 1.3MP camera with video recording, music player and FM Radio. The devices also support popular social networking sites like Facebook and popular search engine support in the form of Yahoo and MSN.
The mobiles have been named Zync C18, Zync C21, Zync C22, Zync C24, Zync C27 and Zync C30. The device specific prices of the phones stand at Rs. 1,399, Rs. 1,990, Rs. 1,990, Rs. 1,990, Rs. 1,990 and Rs. 2,499 respectively. The C18 does not have USB support while the top end C30 has a mobile tracker, e-mail support and King movie player. These are on sale now at various e-commerce sites and retail showrooms.
