Yu Yureka Plus Launched: Details & Hands On Review [With Video]

Yu has launched its latest smartphone Yu Yureka Plus as the successor of Yureka smartphone. The Yureka Plus comes with several upgrades over its predecessor in terms of specifications and hardware. Yet there are many similarities between the two phones. The latest iteration comes with improved display resolution and rear camera sensor.

On design front, it comes flaunts its sturdy polycarbonate body just like Yureka phone. It comes in two color options- White and Moondust Silver. The screen is enclosed in metallic silver lining which looks premium. While the display size of Yureka Plus is 5.5-inch as its predecessor, the resolution of the screen has been bumped up to 1920×1080 pixels.

On the lower edge, there is USB port and primary microphone.

On the top edge, there is 3.5mm audio jack.

Above the display there is earpiece and 5 mega pixel front facing camera.

Below the screen, there are three touch capacitive buttons which are backlit. Power/Wake up key is on the right edge.

Volume rocker is on the left edge.

On the rear of the device, there is a 13 mega pixel auto focus camera accompanied with LED flash. Image quality is fairly decent. It comes with Sony sensor on the rear which is better than the Yureka. Speaker mesh and Yu branding are towards the end on the rear which is loud and clear.

The removable rear panel houses 2500mAh battery, dual SIM card slots and microSD card slot. On software front, it runs Cyaonogen 12.0 based on Android Lollipop. There is no bloatware installed and it comes with basic pre-installed applications which is why the device is lag free.

As for performance, it is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The device comes with 16GB of inbuilt memory which is expandable via microSD card. It supports USB OTG.
