Xolo has launched new Xolo Omega 5.0 and 5.5 smartphones. The Xolo Omega 5.0 smartphone is powered by 1.4 GHz Octa-Core processor, runs on Android KitKat 4.4 with HIVE. As its name suggests, this phone features a 5 inch display with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory with 8 mega pixel rear camera and 2 mega pixel front camera and packs a 2100 mAh battery.

Xolo Omega 5.5 is also powered by 1.4 GHz Octa Core Processor and runs on KitKat 4.4. It features a 5.5 inch display, entails 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM, comes with 13 mega pixel rear camera an 2 mega pixel front facing camera. It packs a 2600 mAh battery.
Connectivity options in both the smartphones include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. These smartphones will run the HIVE UI, which was first launched on 8X-1000.

Xolo Omega 5.0 smartphone will compete with Asus Zenfone 5 Lite and Xiaomi Redmi 1S Note while Omega 5.5 will compete with Obi Hornbill S551 and Asus Zenfone 5 A501 CG.
Buyers will also be offered with XOLO attractive data plans and other benefits on buying Omega smartphones as a result of Xolo’s partnership with Vodafone. According to these plans, Omega 5.0 users will be able to enjoy 500 MB free data and Omega 5.5 users will get access to 1 GB of free data, per month for 2 months. Also, buyers will be able to enjoy music on Vodafone Music, for 2 months. From the date of launch, these offers will be valid for 3 months.
Price and Availability
Omega 5.0 will be available starting from 10th December 2014 at a price tag of Rs. 8,999 and Omega 5.5 will be available starting from 20th December 2014 at Rs. 9,999 at authorized dealers across India. Both these dual-SIM smartphones in Omega series are equipped with similar features like processor, operating system, memory, the only difference being their display size, camera and battery for which the buyer will have to pay Rs. 1000 extra.
