The new Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant comes at a starting price of Rs 4,999 (2GB RAM model). The 3GB RAM model is priced at Rs 6,999. The new variant will be available on Mi.com and Flipkart. It will also be available via offline channels like Mi Home stores and Big Bazaar.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A features a 5.0-inch display with HD (720 x 1280pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 296ppi. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor and 2GB RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be expanded via a micro SD card (up to 128GB). The new smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery. However, Xiaomi promises 8-days of battery life.
On the camera front, the new handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. Other features include a burst mode, panorama mode, and HDR mode. The handset sports a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens.
