Xiaomi has launched the successor of the Redmi Note 3, dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, in China. Under the hood, it packs a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor clocked at 2.1GHz coupled with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. Based on RAM and storage, it comes in two variants- 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3GB RAM+64GB storage. Both variants support expandable using microSD card.
On the front, the Redmi Note 4 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and up to 72% NTSC color gamut. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8 skin atop.
On camera front, the Redmi Note 4 sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 4100mAh battery, the hybrid dual SIM phone offers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. It comes with metal unibody design with chamfered edges and features a fingerprint sensor on the rear. It comes in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey color options.
The Redmi Note 4 doesn’t seem to bring any major upgrade over the predecessor Redmi Note 3. The Redmi Note 3 comes with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 16 mega pixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, 5 mega pixel front facing camera and 4050mAh battery. There are two variants based on RAM and storage. Out of the two, one variant comes with 2GB RAM+16GB storage while other variant packs 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.

Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 carries price tag of 899 Yuan (approximately Rs. 9,000) for 2GB RAM+16GB storage variant and 1199 Yuan (approximately Rs. 12,000) for 3GB RAM+64GB storage variant. It will be available in China from Mi online store, China Mobile and e-commerce retailers starting August 26, 2016. There is no word yet on availability of the phone in India.
