Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor of Mi Pad 2, called the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. A few promotional materials have surfaced online that give us fair idea about design, price, specifications and features of Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet.
As per the promotional materials, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will feature a unibody metal design. It will feature a 9.7-inch touchscreen display with 2048×1536 pixels resolution, like Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
As for specifications, the Mi Pad 3 packs an Intel 7th-Gen Core m3-7Y30 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The device features a 9.7-inch display with 2048×1536 pixels resolution and 264ppi pixel density. Based on storage, it will come in two variants- 128GB and 256GB. On the camera front, it sports a 16 mega pixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8 mega pixel front camera. Fueled by a 8290mAh battery, the tablet supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It will run Windows 10 but it is not known whether there will also be an Android variant of the tablet or not.

Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to be launched on December 30, 2016. As for pricing, the 128GB variant will carry a price tag of CNY 1999 (approximately Rs. 19,540 approximately) and the 256GB variant will cost CNY 2299 (approximately Rs. 22,470). It will come with an optional keyboard dock for CNY 99 (approximately Rs. 970).
To recall, the Mi Pad 2 was launched in November 2015. It comes with 2.24GHz quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 / Windows 10 and features a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels resolution, 326ppi) display. Other specifications include 16GB storage, 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, 5 mega pixel front camera and 6190mAh battery.
