The new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes in three variants. The Intel Core i7-powered variants with 16GB RAM and 8GB RAM are priced at CNY 6,999 (approx Rs 68,500) and CNY 6,399 (approx Rs 62,600), respectively. An Intel Core i5-powered processor with 8GB RAM comes at CNY 5,599 (approx Rs 55,000).
As of now, the new laptop is only available in China. However, Xiaomi might bring it to other markets, including India in coming months.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro features a 15.6-inch TN display with 72 percent NTSC color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection (unique for laptops). It is powered by up to 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors (turbo speed up to 4GHz) with dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card, up to 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM, and an up to 256GB PCIe SSD. The new laptop is backed by a 60Wh battery. The company claims that its new lightweight charger can charge the laptop up to 50 percent in 35 minutes.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro features a ‘symmetrical cooling design’ that uses two fans for cooling. It measures 360.7 x 243.6 x 15.9mm and weighs 1.95kg. The all-metal laptop features a full-size backlit keyboard. Xiaomi claims that the keyboard area on the Mi Notebook Pro is 19 percent larger than the MacBook Pro. A fingerprint sensor (compatible with Windows Hello) is integrated into the touchpad itself.
The Mi Notebook Pro runs Windows 10 operating system. Connectivity options on Mi Notebook Pro include a dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, two USB Type-C ports, full-sized HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0), 3-in-1 SD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, the new laptop comes with Harman Infinity custom-built speakers and Dolby ATMOS audio.

The new Mi Notebook Pro follows the company’s Mi Notebook from last year. The new laptop was launched alongside Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and the Mi Mix 2 smartphones. It combines impressive features with a slick design. Although the screen could have been better. Can it compete against other Windows laptops and Apple MacBook Pro?
