The Xiaomi Mi A1 is priced at Rs 14,999. The new handset will be exclusively available in India via Flipkart and Mi.com from September 12. It will also be available in Mi Stores and selected offline stores. Customers will get up to 200GB 4G data from Airtel.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor (seen on Redmi Note 4) and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The new handset is backed by a 3,080mAh battery.
On the camera front, the new handset comes with a dual camera setup which allows you to capture a nice bokeh effect. It combines a 12-megapixel 26mm wide-angle lens with a 12-megapixel 50mm telephoto lens (similar to iPhone 7 Plus). It comes with 2X optical zoom, 1.25um pixels, a special Portrait mode, and a Beautify mode. The latest handset also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Thanks to Google, users will get unlimited cloud photo storage.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 runs Google-powered Android One (Android 7.1 Nougat) operating system. However, it will come pre-installed with Mi Remote app and Mi Store app. Google promises that the Mi A1 will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update by the year-end.
The new handset features a full metal body design with 2.5D curved glass and a special anti-fingerprint coating on the back. A fingerprint scanner is also placed on the back side. It comes in Black, and Gold color options.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone offers enhanced audio experience, thanks to a 10V Smart PA (Power Amplifier), DHS audio calibration algorithm, and a Standalone audio amplifier. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE and USB Type-C port.
