Xiaomi has announced a new variant of its Mi 6 smartphone for the Chinese market. The new model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi 6 4GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 23,500). It will go on sale on November 11 (11/11). As of now, the new model will only be available in China. Interested customers can pre-book a unit ahead of Singles’ Day sale via the Xiaomi online store.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched with 6GB RAM configuration in three variants. While a 64GB internal storage variant was launched at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 23,500), the 128GB storage variant was priced at CNY 2,899 (approx Rs 27,000). Both variants come in three color options – Black, White, and Blue.
Additionally, a ceramic variant of the Android handset was launched at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 28,000). It came with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Apart from RAM, the new Xiaomi Mi 6 4GB RAM variant sports same specifications as the original. It features a 5.15-inch IPS LCD display with full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, a pixel density of 428ppi and 600 nits of maximum brightness. The brightness can be reduced down to 1 nit to reduce eye-strain.
The flagship smartphone is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. It is backed by a 3350mAh non-removable battery.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a12-megapixel telephoto camera for 2x lossless zoom. Camera features on the Mi 6 include optical image stabilization (OIS), phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), and four-axis anti-shake functionality.
The 8-megapixel front camera can capture full HD (1080p) video capture at 30fps, and slow-motion videos. Additional features on the dual-SIM smartphone include premium 3D glass design, front-firing dual speakers, and Bluetooth 5.0.
