Xiaomi has announced price drop of Rs. 2,000 for its Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone in India. After the price cut, the Mi 5 will be available to buy for Rs. 22,999 instead of its original price of Rs. 24,999. Xiaomi has finally launched its latest flagship smartphone, dubbed the Xiaomi Mi 5, in the Indian market. To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 5 was unveiled at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. While the Mi 5 was originally launched in three storage variants-32GB, 64GB and 128GB, the company has launched just 32GB variant of the phone in India.
It flaunts its premium design and top-notch specifications such as massive RAM, full HD display, excellent camera combination and more. Read on to find details on price, specifications, features and availability of the device.
The device is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage and features 3D curved glass body.
The phone packs a 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It sports a 16 mega pixel primary camera with PDAF, Sony IMX298 sensor, 6P lens, 4-axis OIS and sapphire glass protection lens. There is also a 4 mega pixel front shooter for capturing selfies. The phone boasts of DTI isolation technology for better picture quality.
It features USB Type-C port and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which the company claims to deliver up to 2.5 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. On software front, the Mi 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, wrapped under MIUI 7. It measures 144.5×69.2×7.25 mm, weighs just 129 grams and comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. First flash sale will take place on April 6 on mi.com. Mi Protect service for the phone will be available at a special price of Rs. 499 for first week. It will be later available for Rs. 699.
