WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platforms in the world. A large number of people use the popular app from their laptop or PC, especially while working.
Now, the Facebook-owned platform is finally offering an option to video call your contacts. However, the new feature works with Messenger contacts.
The video calling feature is free through WhatsApp. All you need to get started is a working internet connection.

How To Make WhatsApp Video Calls From Your Laptop Or PC
- Open WhatsApp, then open an individual chat, then tap Attach > Room
- Once prompted, tap on CONTINUE IN MESSENGER
- Now, you will be taken to the Messenger website in your browser
- If you’re not logged in to Messenger, you’ll need to log in with your Facebook account
- A link will automatically appear within the text field of the individual
- Next, tap Send
- That’s it!
Alternatively, tap the CALLS tab > Create a room
- Once prompted, tap on CONTINUE IN MESSENGER
- Now, you will be taken to the Messenger website in your browser.
- If you’re not logged in to Messenger, you’ll need to log in with your Facebook account
- Tap CREATE ROOM AS {name}
- You can tap Room activity to customize the purpose of your room
- Tap SEND LINK ON WHATSAPP to reopen WhatsApp
- The link will appear within a text field, where you can customize your message
- Next, tap Send
- That’s it!
Note: You can make a group call only if your group chat has five or more participants. Just open a group chat, then tap Group call > Create a room.
