The mid-range smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3,260mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Z3x sports an AI-powered dual camera set upon the back (13MP primary sensor, f/2.2 aperture + 2MP secondary sensor, f/2.4 aperture). For selfies and video calling, it sports a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Camera features include AR mode, Portrait mode, Dynamic Photo, and a Beauty mode. Vivo claims that the new handset can identify 22 scenes and more than 240 scene combinations to optimize them using AI algorithms.

The Vivo Z3x runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9 on top. It comes with several gaming-centric like Game Turbo and System Turbo. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In terms of dimensions, the dual-SIM smartphone measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs 150 grams. It comes in Red, Purple, and Black color options.
The new handset sports a 6.26-inch LCD display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop notch. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
