Chinese handset maker, Vivo has showcased its Vivo X5Max+ smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2015 event in Barcelona. The X5Max+ is essentially the refreshed version of Vivo X5Max which holds the title of ‘world’s slimmest smartphone’ with mere 4.75 mm thickness. In order to rectify the heating issues of older sibling, the updated model comes with a bigger, 2300 mAh battery which is why the thickness of the smartphone has been increased from 4.45 mm to 5.1 mm. As far as specifications of the X5Max+ are concerned, it is powered by 64-bit 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with 2 GB and Mali-T760MP2 GPU while the earlier model packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with Funtouch OS2.0 UI on the top and features a 5.5 inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.
On camera front, the handset sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 16 GB of internal storage onboard which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS and Micro-USB. The battery has been bumped up to 2300 mAh from 2000 mAh battery of the original handset.
