Vivo has launched a new variant of its Vivo V23 smartphone in China. The new Vivo X23 Symphony Edition is a toned-down variant of the premium handset. The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition is priced in China at CNY 2,798 (approx Rs 28,900). It now available for pre-order on the company’s China website. Sales start on November 23. As of now, there is no confirmation about the India price and launch date.

The new variant is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is backed by a 3,400mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the Vivo X23 Symphony Edition sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture and 125-degree super wide-angle lens). For selfies and video calling, the new handset comes with a 24.8-megapixel front camera. Camera features include AI beauty, AI scene detection, and AR stickers.

The dual-SIM smartphone that runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Funtouch OS on top. It sports a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) resolution (same as the Vivo X23).
The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition comes in two gradient color options – Arctic Morning and Starry Night Ocean. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 (with aptX), GPS, GLONASS, and OTG support.

Last month, the company launched Vivo X23 Star Edition. The original Vivo X23 was launched at CNY 3,498 (approx Rs 37,100). It is powered by a Snapdragon 670 SoC and 8GB RAM. The premium handset came with a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
The Vivo X23 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display (built with COF process) with Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It features slim bezels and a small waterdrop-shaped notch on front. Additionally, the display is slightly curved towards the edges.
The handset also comes with Jovi AI assistant. It is equipped with AK4377A audio chip for Hi-Fi audio performance. The company claims that the 4th generation in-display fingerprint scanner can unlock the phone in just 0.35 seconds. The smartphone also supports Face Unlock feature and is also equipped with IR lens.
