Vivo has silently introduced a toned down variant of the V5, called the Vivo V5 Lite. The smartphone is listed on OnlyMobiles with a price tag of Rs. 15,980. There is no word on availability of the phone as of now and it is listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on the website.

Under the hood, the V5 Lite packs a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It features a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. The screen is protection against scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the software front, it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch 3.0. It houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

For selfie lovers, the smartphone sports a 16 mega pixel front camera with LED flash. Also onboard is a 13 mega pixel primary camera on the back with LED flash. The front camera offers several features such as Normal, Face Beauty, Selfie Softlight, Voice Capture, Videos, Palm Capture, Touch Capture, Timer, Gender Detection and Mirrored Selfie.
