Vivo has launched its V15 smartphone in Thailand and Malaysia markets. Unlike the recently launched V15 Pro, the new handset comes with a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor (instead of Snapdragon 675 SoC and an in-display fingerprint sensor). The Vivo V15 is priced in Thailand at THB 10,999 (approx Rs 24,500). It comes in two gradient color options – Topaz Blue and Glamour Red. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date. Last week, the Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India at Rs 28,990.

The new handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor and 6GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The 4,000mAh battery supports a Dual-Engine fast charging technology.
In terms of optics, the Vivo V15 sports a triple camera set up at the back. It combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.78 aperture), an 8-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.2 aperture), and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor (f/2.4 aperture). Camera features include HDR, face beauty, timelapse, panorama, bokeh mode, AI body shaping, and palm capture.
For selfies and video chat, the Vivo V15 sports a pop-up selfie camera with a 32-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 lens. It also supports Face Unlock feature.

The Vivo V15 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.53-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution. It measures 161.97 x 93 x 8.54mm and weighs 189.5 grams. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Vivo V15 Pro
The Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India at Rs 28,990. It will be available across the country from 6th March. The new handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE processor (based on the 11nm process) along with Adreno 612 GPU and 6GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card. It is backed by a 3,700mAh battery with a ‘Dual Engine’ fast charging technology.
The Vivo V15 Pro sports a 32MP pop-up selfie camera (similar to the Vivo Nex) that supports face unlock feature. On the back, it features a triple rear camera setup (48MP Quad Pixel primary sensor + 8MP secondary sensor + 5MP tertiary sensor) backed by artificial intelligence support (AI Body Shaping and AI Portrait Lighting).
The new smartphone comes two gradient pattern color options: Topaz Blue and Ruby Red. It sports a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED Ultra FullView display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and in-display fingerprint sensor.
