Vivo has launched its much-awaited smartphone in the Indian market. The new Vivo NEX comes with a motorized pop-up selfie camera and a bezel-less screen with 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio. Rs 44,990

The Vivo NEX is priced in India at Rs 44,990. It will be available from July 21 via Amazon India.

The Vivo Nex S was launched in China at CNY 4,498 (approx Rs 47,400) for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB storage comes with a price tag of CNY 4,998 (approx Rs 52,600).

The new handset sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2316 pixels) resolution and a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB RAM.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Nex sports a dual rear camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor (with dual-core pixels + 4-axis OIS) with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. There is also an 8-megapixel pop-up camera on the front. The pop-up camera is controlled via a micro-drive system.

Camera features include AI Portrait Framing, AI HDR, AI Face Beauty and Google Lens integration. The new handset is backed by a 4000mAh battery.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Funtouch OS 4.0 .on top. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 port, and OTG support.
