Vivo is working on the successor of the Vivo NEX. While the original model comes with a slider selfie cam, the upcoming model is tipped to come with a secondary display. The Vivo NEX Dual Screen is expected to be launched in Shanghai on December 11. As of now, there is no information about the price of the upcoming handset.

According to the latest leaks and rumors, the Vivo NEX Dual Screen will feature a display on each side. This will remove the need for a front camera. Users will be able to use the rear camera for selfies and video calling. The upcoming handset is expected to come with a triple camera setup on the back (with LED flash and laser autofocus) and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the camera module is surrounded by a lunar ring.
The Vivo NEX Dual Screen is likely to come with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display panel (similar to the Vivo NEX S) and a smaller secondary display with a 16:9 aspect ratio (to make room for camera set up on top and company Vivo logo on the bottom). It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with huge 10GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Additionally, the upcoming handset will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. It will be available in two gradient color variants – Purple and Blue. The upcoming smartphone will run the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system.

Vivo NEX
The Vivo NEX was launched in July this year at Rs 44,990. In China, it is priced at CNY 4,498 (approx Rs 47,400) for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB storage comes with a price tag of CNY 4,998 (approx Rs 52,600).
In terms of specifications, the Vivo handset sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2316 pixels) resolution and a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB RAM.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Nex sports a dual rear camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor (with dual-core pixels + 4-axis OIS) with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. There is also an 8-megapixel pop-up camera on the front. The pop-up camera is controlled via a micro-drive system.
Camera features include AI Portrait Framing, AI HDR, AI Face Beauty, and Google Lens integration. The new handset is backed by a 4000mAh battery. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Funtouch OS 4.0 .on top. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 port, and OTG support.
In terms of dimensions, the Vivo Nex S measures 162 x 77 x 7.98mm. It also comes a dedicated button for Google Assistant and Lens. The phone uses TOF 3D technology for face recognition, photography, virtual fitting, and mixed reality games. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor (50 percent more accurate than its predecessor), High-Fidelity sound, and 130dB dynamic range.
