Videocon is now ready to compete with Spice, Micromax and all other Indian smartphone manufacturers with their new Android smart phone lineup. Videocon’s A45 and A51 are now available for sale from the online retailer Snapdeal.
The Videocon A45 sports a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display powered by a 1 GHz processor with 256MB RAM and 512 MB internal memory which is expandable upto 16GB with microSD. It supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. The A45 is 11.5 mm thick featuring a 3.2MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front-facing camera with 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 2G (EDGE), Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, micro USB technologies with 1800 mAh battery for decent daily power backup.
On the other hand A51 is a lot more than just the number upgrade. It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display running on a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB Internal memory which is again expandable upto 32GB with microSD slot. The A51 also supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It features a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera with 11.3mm thickness. Other technologies also include 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and aGPS powered by a 2000 mAh battery.
The Videocon A45 and the A51 are priced at Rs. 6199 and Rs. 8900 respectively being pocket friendly as in considering the price. Some Android smartphones including the Videocon A47 A51, A53, A45, A27i and A15 also appeared on the official website recently but there has been no news on their pricing or availability yet.
