After unveiling China ROM of MIUI 7 in China earlier this month, Xiaomi has showcased the global ROM of MIUI 7 in India. The MIUI 7 beta version will be available to Indian users from August 24, 2015 and will support smartphones including Xiaomi Redmi 1s, Redmi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i and Redmi Note.
The new interface is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with several improvements over its predecessor MIUI 6. 8. SMS Filter & Quick OTP
There is also an SMS filter feature which moves all non-contact SMS’s to separate notification tab. The Quick OTP feature allows users to copy OTP passwords from the notification pop up.
9. Auto DND
The Auto DND feature paires with MI Band and intelligently manages calls and messages. When the Mi Band detects that the user is sleeping, it automatically puts the phone on Do Not Disturb mode so that sleep of user is not interrupted.
10. Data Saver
The company has partnered with Opera Max to provide a new smart Data Saver feature which compresses browser and in-app media so that users can save up to 50 percent of data usage. But this feature will be available in September.
