The new smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G79 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
On the back, the Tecno Camon 16 sports a quad camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 2MP depth of field sensor, 2MP macro lens, an AI lens, and an AI flash.
Camera features include auto eye focusing, video bokeh, 2K QHD video support, and pro photography modes such as Night Portrait, Super Night Shot, Macro, Body-shaping, 10x Zoom, and Slow Motion.
For selfies and video calling, the Tecno Camon 16 sports a 16MP front camera. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support (can be fully charged in approximately two hours).
The new handset is touted to offer 29 days of standby time, 34 hours of calling time, 16 hours of Web browsing, 15 hours of game playing, 22 hours of video playback, and 180 hours of music playback.

The Tecno Camon 16 runs the Android 10 operating system with HiOS 7.0 on top. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
The new smartphone features a 6.8-inch hole-punch display with HD+ resolution and 89.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. It comes in Cloud White and Purist Blue color options.
