Chinese electronics company TCL has launched its TCL Pride T500L smartphone in the Indian market. USP of this handset is its iris scanner that unlocks the phone by scanning user’s retina via front camera. Users thus, can unlock this phone by just looking at it.
As for specifications, it is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. For storage purpose, it comes with 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
On camera front, the handset sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and EIS (optical image stabilization) to control image stability. There is also an 8 mega pixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. Backed up by a 3050mAh battery, the phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options.
