The new handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and 6G RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).
The TCL Plex is backed by a 3,820mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Cameras
On the back, the new smartphone sports a triple camera set up with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor (f/1.8 aperture, 0.8-microns pixel size, 79-degree field of view).
It also includes a 16-megapixel Samsung S5K3P9 sensor (f/2.4 aperture, 1-micron pixels, 123-degree field of view), and a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV02K sensor (f/1.8 aperture, 2.9-micron pixels, 77-degree field of view).
On the front, the TCL handset sports a 24-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 0.9-micron pixels, and a 78.2-degree field of view.

The TCL Plex runs Android 9 Pie operating system with the TCL UI on top. It will be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants.
The new handset features a 6.53-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
You can choose between two color options – Obsidian Black and Opal White.

Conclusion
With the new smartphone, the Chinese TV maker aims to bring its expertise in screens mobile devices. The company expects videos to account for 80% of mobile data traffic by 2022. “The moment is right for TCL,” said Stefan Streit, global head of marketing, TCL.
TCL is putting smartphones to be at the center of its existing range of connected devices (smart TVs, and Bluetooth speakers/ headphones). The company is also working on a foldable phone.
