After a slew of leaks and rumors, Xiaomi has finally taken the wraps off its Xiaomi Mi 4c smartphone in China. As for specifications, it is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core (1.4GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core + 1.8GHz Cortex-A57 dual-core) Snapdragon 808 processor paired with Adreno 418 GPU. It runs Android Lollipop wrapped under MIUI 7 and features a 5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution.

Based on RAM and storage, it comes in two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage while other variant packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera with 85 degree wide angle lens.

Xiaomi Redmi 2A Variant With 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage Launched In China: Specifications & Features

Xiaomi has launched a refreshed Xiaomi Redmi 2A variant in China. The upgraded version of the smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory instead of 1GB RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage of the original version. Rest of the specifications of the latest variant are same as the original one.

Under the hood, it packs a quad-core LCI L1860C processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Mali T628 dual-core GPU. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system wrapped under MIUI 6, it features a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory onboard while the device also supports microSD card for expandable storage up to 32GB.

Xiaomi Mi Edge Leaked, Tipped To Feature Dual-Edge Display

Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new smartphone- Xiaomi Mi Edge. The highlight of this smartphone will be its dual-edged display like the Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone. The dual edge curved display of Galaxy S6 which makes it easier to view notifications and launch applications.

According to the rumors, the Mi Edge will be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. The device is said to feature a 5.2-inch QHD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and 565ppi pixel density.

Opera To Power Data Saver Feature On Xiaomi Devices

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced its MIUI 7 in India. Out of plenty of features which MIUI 7 offers, the Data Saver is one of the talked about features. Xiaomi has partnered with Opera Software to power the Data Saver feature on all Xiaomi devices. The Opera Max technology has been powering the MIUI Data Saver feature on Xiaomi devices in China for more than a year and now the feature will be available on all Xiaomi devices worldwide.

The Data Saver feature compresses browser and in-app media. According to Xiaomi, this can reduce data usage across all applications by up to 50 percent This feature will be available in September in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and India.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Prime Launched: Price, Specs & Features

At an event in China, Xiaomi has launched its Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 smartphone alongside Redmi Note 2 Prime phone and MIUI 7. The Redmi Note 2 will be available in two variants- one with 3G support and other with 4G LTE support.

Specifications of all the three variants are identical except that the Redmi Note 2 Prime packs a higher clocked processor and houses 32GB of internal memory while the Redmi Note 2 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage. It is unclear as of now whether the handsets will support microSD card for expandable storage or not. All the three handsets feature 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and run Android Lollipop operating system wrapped under MIUI 7.
