Micromax and Microsoft has partnered to launch a lineup of Windows Phone for India. What is even more interesting is that these phones will be powered by Qualcomm processors and not by Mediatek as opposed to what we have seen in the Android series phones from Micromax till now.

Micromax will bring an entire range of Windows Phones from Micromax which runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. This Windows phone range will be named under Micromax “Canvas” series only, which is hugely popular sub-brand of phones by Micromax with a lot of popular android phones in Indian market.

Xolo Win, a windows tablet, was announced at CES has finally been launched in India via Flipkart. The 10.1-inch tablet from Xolo priced INR 19,990, listed on Flipkart with only Black variant and runs on latest operating system Windows 8.1 out of the box from Microsoft.

TouchGameplay posted a video on its YouTube channel teasing the trailer of most popular movie from Marvel Captain America: The Winter Soldier: The game. This movie is the sequel of the blockbuster superhero movie Captain America: The First Avenger. The first game Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty game on this movie was made by Marvel itself back in 2011. But now Gameloft, a popular game developer, known for its superb graphics and gameplay is developing game for upcoming the movie and it will launch it in late March with the launch of movie. It will be available on iPhone, iPod touch and Android with no details about windows phone availability.

As per Nokia India officials, the Lumia 1320 will also be launched in India soon.

Nokia unveiled two new windows phone at the Nokia World event held in Abu Dhabi. Both phones feature 6 inch displays and Gorilla Glass. Both phones are running Microsoft’s latest operating system windows phone 8 with latest software update called” Windows Black”. The other phones available today will get this update in early 2014, as Microsoft starts rolling update that depends on your location ,you will get some new features too that are already pre installed on these two devices. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is higher end smartphone with quad core processor that will cost around USD 749 in International market and Nokia Lumia 1320 is affordable windows phone with 6 inch 720P LCD display, powered by dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it is priced around USD 339 in International market. Nokia said that Nokia Lumia 1320 will be available in early 2014 in India.

Huawei announced Ascend W2 – a Windows Phone with 512MB RAM and Dual-core processor

Looks like, Huawei is launching successor of its popular smartphones. Earlier, we reported that Huawei launched Ascend P6S which is the successor of its most popular Android smartphone Huawei Ascend P6. Now this time Huawei announced Ascend W2 the successor of its first windows phone Huawei Ascend W. The company said that this device will be available first in China in August and after that in Russia and Netherlands followed by other countries. They said that the device will come India soon, but has not announced the exact date of launching. There is not any word about pricing too. Considering the specifications, this will be entry level Windows Phone that may be compete with Nokia Lumia 520. This is the only second Windows based device from Huawei. This device was showcased back in June at the Mobile Asia Expo 2013, now they officially confirmed it too.

Along with these two phones, Nokia also launched set of sound accessories from Coloud including three headseats callsed Boom, Knock and Pop which are specially designed for Nokia Lumia series with matching colour tones and build.
