Lava has launched its latest tablet, called the Lava X80. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Baytrail processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and features an 8-inch IPS OGS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. The tablet houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Samsung has launched its latest tablet, called the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris, in India. Highlight of this tablet is its iris scanner which is Aadhar, STQC and UIDAI certified. The Tab Iris is a part of company’s Made in India’ initiative and aims to support government benefit programs, financial institutions and banking sector among others, that are adopting Aadhaar authentication.
