Microsoft has launched its latest smartphone, called the Microsoft Lumia 650 Dual SIM, in India. To recall, the Lumia 650 was unveiled in February 2016.
It is targeted at the enterprise segment, and is said to offer the consumers, a “perfect balance between work and personal needs.” It runs Windows 10 operating system and comes pre-loaded with Office 365, Microsoft’s personal assistant- Cortana and more. Huawei has taken the wraps off its two new smartphones- Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. The highlight of these phones is their camera department. Both smartphones feature Leica developed dual 12 mega pixel cameras on the rear with 1.25-micron pixels and Leica SUMMARIT lenses. One of the lenses captures light in color while the other captures in monochrome. This set up promises to offer sharp and detailed images even in low lighting conditions.
The rear camera also comes with hybrid auto focus technology. Both smartphones sport 8 mega pixel front facing cameras.
Meizu has announced the launch of the successor of M2 Note, called the Meizu M3 Note in China. As for specifications, it is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with Mali-T860 GPU. The phone features a 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved glass.
The device comes in two variants based on RAM and storage- one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage while other variant packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Both variants support expandable storage up to 128GB using microSD card.
Meizu has introduced its latest smartphone, called the Meizu MX5e, in China. It is an affordable variant of Meizu MX5, which was launched last year for Rs. 19,999.
As for specifications, the MX5e is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system wrapped under Flyme OS 4.5. It features a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The screen packs Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches.
Vivo has launched its two new smartphones- Vivo V3 and V3 Max in India. Both smartphones flaunt their metal body design and feature a fingerprint scanner for additional security. The fingerprint scanner comes with 360 degree recognition and is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds in wake mode or in 0.5 seconds in sleep mode.
The smartphones also feature AK4375 Hi-Fi chipset for amazing music experience. They are equipped with twin chip charging technology which is claimed to deliver up to two hours of Hi-Fi music playback with just five minutes of charging. Oppo has finally launched its camera focused smartphone- Oppo F1 Plus, in India. Touted as the ‘Selfie Expert’, the F1 Plus is a re-branded variant of Oppo R9, which was launched in China, earlier this year.
The highlight of the F1 Plus is its camera department. The phone sports a 16 mega pixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 78.1-degree wide-angle lens for capturing stunning selfies. There is also a 13 mega pixel primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. It supports 4K video recording as well.
Celkon has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of Celkon Diamond 4G Plus. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 1280×720 pixels and pixel density of 294ppi.
The phone houses 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 32GB using microSD card. On camera front, it sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2 mega pixel front facing camera.
