The notch on Apple’s iPhone X has been a contentious topic, ever since the information was leaked online. Apple was taunted by many Android manufacturers (including Samsung), but the notch has slowly become a design inspiration for Android smartphone designers. Apple’s concept of a full-screen display with a notch has become a benchmark, or rather a conceptual idea for smartphone companies. The notch permits more screen space. It allows more space for usable elements. Now it has been leaked by a Dutch online publication Mobielkopen, that even Samsung will be using the notch on their next upcoming smartphone.

Samsung is reportedly working on the successors of it’s Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. Apparently, the South Korean giant is working on three different models – the Galaxy S9, the Galaxy S9 Plus, and the Galaxy S9 Mini.
