iBall has finally launched its iBall Cobalt Oomph 4.7D smartphone in the Indian market. The handset is priced at Rs. 7,999 and will go on sale through online and offline stores across the country in White Gold and Black Metallic Grey color variants. The specifications of the handset are in line with the details previously revealed by retailer Mahesh Telecom. The 3G enabled dual-SIM phone packs a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android Lollipop). Other specifications of the handset include 4.7 inch IPS HD (1280 x 720 pixels, 312 ppi), 8 GB of inbuilt storage, 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 5 mega pixel front camera and 1850 mAh battery.

Swipe has launched its new affordable smartphone, Swipe Konnect ME in the Indian market. Under the hood, this dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, the handset features a a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display with 854×480 pixel resolution and 240 ppi pixel density. It sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera.

On storage front, the device houses 8 GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Backed up by a 2450 mAh battery, the smartphone can offer up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 45 days of standby time. It offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB as connectivity options. The dimensions of Konnect ME are 134.6×66.7×10.6 mm, it weighs 92 grams and will be available in White color option.

Celkon has expanded its Campus series with the launch of Celkon Campus A518 smartphone in the Indian market. Under the hood, the dual-SIM device is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, it features a 5 inch FWVGA IPS display with 854×480 pixel resolution.

It sports a 3.2 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The Campus A518 houses 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Originally unveiled in February 2015, the LG Magna has now reached Indian shores. The handset was introduced alongside LG Spirit, Leon & Joy mid-ranged phones during MWC 2015. The LG Spirit has already been launched in the country in March 2015. As for specifications, the Magna is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor accompanied with 1 GB of RAM. Facebook Launches Voice Calling In Messenger App

In a bid to take on Skype and Hangout apps, Facebook has announced the launch of voice calling in messenger app. Facebook’s new voice calling feature will allow the users to make free video calls and have face to face conversations with the one’s in their friend list. Android and iOS users with Facebook messenger app on their mobile phone can make video calls using this feature.

To initiate a video call, the user will just have to tap on the video icon located at the top right corner of the screen during a messenger conversation or chat. Users can swap the camera as well (front and rear) according to their convenience while the feature will work even the network connectivity is not the best.
