The world’s first curved display smartphone is now available in Indian market. The LG G Flex was announced in October 2013, and LG set a release date of February 2014. The LG G Flex priced INR 69,999 on LG’s official Indian website. The device already listed on company’s website but without pricing and availability. Now LG officially confirmed that LG G Flex is hitting stores on Thursday. Launching LG G Flex at INR 69,999 LG made it most premium and expensive smartphone in Indian market. It left behind Apple iPhone 5S, HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The display of LG G Flex is made of the plastic substrate instead of glass for better durability of smartphone. The interesting feature of this smartphone is its self-healing ability; LG claims that the back panel of LG G Flex is made of self-healing coating. So that it can recover from scratches and other rough things, happen to it. LG also claims that the display of this smartphone is world’s largest plastic display for a smartphone, and it is specially made for LG G Flex only. The battery installed in this device is also in curved shape and designed to reduce physical stress on the battery pack.

Google Nexus 5 might be launched in Red colour too in near future

If we believe on @evleaks, then we are going to see a Red Nexus 5 phone from LG. No details about availability and pricing but only an image of red Nexus 5, nothing else. On 31 January the tipster posted a photo of Red Nexus 5 on its twitter page saying Google Nexus 5, in red, by LG. Till now, Google usually launches Nexus devices in only Black and white colours only. But if rumours were true then we will have more colour options in Nexus devices.

Rumours – LG Optimus G Pro 2 could launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC)

According to ET News, the south Korean Smartphone giant LG could launch the successor of its LG Optimus G Pro at the MWC 2014 which is going to held lately in next month. This new Optimus G Pro 2 will come with some high end specifications like 3GB RAM and LTE- advanced. LG usually launched its smartphones in Mobile World Congress. So as routine it will surely launch some new devices too this time. Last year at MWC 2013 LG launched LG Optimus G Pro and Optimus F5 and F7 too. The LG launch its device with different designs, like it launched LG G2 with power and volume rocker buttons at back of the smartphone. So it will be interesting to see if it will come up with something new this time too.
