Spice Mobiles has launched its latest smartphone Spice Stellar 440 in India as an addition to the Stellar series. This new Stellar series device with an affordable price tag comes with dual front speakers, many pre-installed apps and Analog TV feature through which this smartphone can access TV channels and users can watch television on this device. The dual-SIM Stellar 440 smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz Dual-Core processor paired with 512 MB RAM for easy multi-tasking. It runs on runs Android 4.4 KitKat (out-of-the-box) operating system. It comes with a 4 inch WVGA TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. For storage purpose, Spice Stellar 440 comes with 4 GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
On imaging front, Stellar 440 sports a 3.2 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera for making video calls and capturing selfies. As far as connectivity is concerned, this smartphone includes GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Micro-USB as connectivity options.
This smartphone is fueled by a 1400 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver talk time of up to 4 hours and stand by time of up to 144 hours on 2G network. It is available in grey color option and the dimensions of this smartphone are 127.6×63.8×11.5 mm.
This smartphone comes with pre-installed apps like Flipkart, OLX, Opera, Spice Cloud etc. It features dual front speakers to set all the music buffs on roll with amazing sound clarity. The Analog TV function lets the users watch TV on this smartphone, this device can access terrestrial channels off the air without any additional hardware.

Earlier this month, Spice had also launched its Spice Stellar MI 520n smartphone which is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It is equipped with 5 inch HD IPS display and 8 GB in-built storage (expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card). It houses 8 mega pixel primary camera with BSI Sensor and 2 mega pixel secondary camera and packs a 2000 mAh battery. It includes GSM, 3G, EDGE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n as connectivity options.
Price and Availability
Stellar 440 is listed on the company’s official website with a price tag of Rs. 5,249 while it is available at a much lower price of Rs. 4,199 through e-commerce website Saholic.com.
