Sony has finally launched its flagship smartphone Xperia Z3+ in the Indian market. The device is priced at Rs. 55,990.
As for specifications, the Sony Xperia Z3+ packs 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 5.2 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB inbuilt memory (expandable via microSD card), Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 20.7 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front camera and 2930 mAh battery with Quick charge technology which is claimed to deliver 5.5 hours of usage in just 10 minutes of charging.
On design front, Xperia Z3+ boasts of its superior build and features Gorilla Glass on both front and rear ends. Sony has also introduced a unique capless USB design with this handset.

Sony has sent out invites for an event in New Delhi on June 26, 2015 where it is expected to launch Sony Xperia Z3+ smartphone. To recall, Xperia Z3+ is the global variant of Xperia Z4 which was first introduced in Japan. Pricing and availability details of the handset are likely to be revealed at the launch event.

It’s been more than a week since Sony announced its new smartphone Sony Xperia Z4 in Japan with no word on availability of the handset outside Japan. A new report however suggests that the handset could be launched as Sony Xperia Z3+ in the global markets. This information has been spotted on Sony SCR30 Style Cover Window description mentioning support for the “Xperia Z4/Z3+.” Thus, Xperia Z4 may not be Sony’s real flagship since it features few minor upgrades over its predecessor Xperia Z3. Sony has finally unveiled its much anticipated flagship Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone. There is no word on availability of the handset however the company has revealed that it will first go on sale in Japan later this summer in White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green color options. As for specifications, the handset packs a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and features a 5.2-inch full HD display. There is 32 GB of inbuilt storage onboard which is expandable via microSD card. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the device sports a 20.7 mega pixel rear camera and a 5.1 mega pixel front facing camera with wide-angle. It is backed up by a 2930 mAh battery.
Connectivity options on the Xperia Z4 include 4G LTE, W-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. Additionally, the handset features Sony’s LDAC audio technology for high quality wireless music playback. The handset is IPX5 / 8 and IP6X rated for water and dust resistance.

After a lot of rumors and leaks, it appears that we really have something firm on Sony’s upcoming flagship, the Xperia Z4 smartphone. A recent report from benchmarking website GFXBench has revealed specifications of Sony Z4. According to benchmark results, the Z4 will pack a 1.9 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU, Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 20 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front facing camera, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, 5.1 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. The handset will feature accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, compass, light and proximity sensors. It will also come with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. Sony seemed at odds with our anticipation for the launch of Z4 smartphone at MWC 2015. Instead of Xperia Z4, Sony unveiled its Xperia Z4 tablet and Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone at the event. But now, Sony appears to be gearing up for the launch of the handset. A number of leaked images and specs have started making round on the internet which give us a closer look of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone. As per the images revealed by OnLeaks, Sony’s next flagship smartphone will feature some tweaks over its predecessor.
The images revealed by OnLeaks are 3D front and rear graphic representations of the rumored smartphone. On aesthetics front, the upcoming handset looks very much similar to its predecessor, Xperia Z3. The upcoming device however features a larger display and thinner bezels now. It also comes with the OmniBalance design from Sony. What has been known about Xperia Z4 on deciphering the images is that the SIM card slot has been moved to left from its original right position in Xperia Z3. The microSD slot is absent in the images which makes us believe that the handset would arrive without expandable storage.
As for specifications, the handset is said to be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (quad-core 2 GHz, quad-core 1.5 GHz) paired with Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. It is also rumored to feature a 5.2 inch display which will be either full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel resolution) or QHD (1440 x 2560 pixel resolution). On camera front, it is likely to sport a 21 mega pixel rear camera. The dimensions of the device are tipped to be 146.3 x 71.9 x 7.2 mm.
