The Sony Xperia XZ1 is priced in India at Rs 44,990. It will be available from Monday, September 25 via both offline and online stores. The new smartphone ships with a Quick Charger 3.0 UCH1.2.
As part of the laucnh offer, consumers will get a Rs 1,000 discount on the Style Stand Cover (MRP Rs 3,490). It is also offering zero percent EMIs along with a 5 percent cash back on purchase via HDFC and ICICI cards.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact were initially launched at priced $700 (approx Rs 45,000) and $600 (approx Rs 38,500), respectively.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch HDR display with full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It features Sony’s Triluminous display and X-Reality technology. The new handset is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The new smartphone is backed by a 2700mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
On the camera front, the Sony Xperia XZ1 features a Motion Eye 19-megapixel Exmor RS sensor camera with 3D scanning abilities as its USP. Other camera features include 5-axis stabilization, slow-motion video recording at 960fps, and 4K video recording. It also sports a 13-megapixel front camera with Sony’s Exmor RS mobile imaging sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 22mm wide-angle lens.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a metal unibody design. It measures 148 x 73 x 7.4mm and weighs 156 grams. While the Xperia XZ1 comes in Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink, Warm Silver, and Black color options, only the Black color variant will be available in India. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, USB Type-C, and GPS.
The new handset is one of the first non-Pixel devices to runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It comes with special audio features like digital noise cancellation, S-Force surround sound, stereo recording, Hi-Res Audio, and Qualcomm’s own aptX audio software. Additional features include a fingerprint scanner, and IP68 certification (water and dust resistant).
