The Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact are priced $700 (approx Rs 45,000) and $600 (approx Rs 38,500), respectively. Shipping starts from this month. The company has not revealed the price of Sony Xperia A1 Plus so far. It will be available in Autumn this year. As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch and price of the new smartphones.

Sony Xperia XZ1
The Sony Xperia XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch HDR display with full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It features Sony’s Triluminous display and X-Reality technology. The new handset is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is one of the first non-Pixel devices to runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
The new smartphone features a metal unibody design. It measures 148 x 73 x 7.4mm and weighs 156 grams. The Xperia XZ1 comes in Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink, Warm Silver, and Black color options. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, USB Type-C, and GPS. It will be available in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants.
On the camera front, the Sony Xperia XZ1 features a Motion Eye 19-megapixel Exmor RS sensor camera with 3D scanning abilities as its USP. Other camera features include 5-axis stabilization, slow-motion video recording at 960fps, and 4K video recording. It also sports a 13-megapixel front camera with Sony’s Exmor RS mobile imaging sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 22mm wide-angle lens.
The new handset comes with special audio features like digital noise cancellation, S-Force surround sound, stereo recording, Hi-Res Audio, and Qualcomm’s own aptX audio software. It is backed by a 2700mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, and IP68 certification (water and dust resistant).

Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
The compact version of Xperia XZ1 is also powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 4GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. However, it ditches the HDR display for a simple plain 4.6-inch Triluminous display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and dynamic contrast enhancements. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).
On the camera front, it sports same 13-megapixel rear camera as the Xperia XZ1. However, it upgrades the front camera. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact comes with an 18-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree field of view.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact measures 129 x 65 x 9.3mm and weighs 143 grams. It will be available in Black, White Silver, Horizon Blue, and Twilight Pink color options. Rest of the specifications remain the same as Xperia XZ1. However, it only comes in a single SIM card variant.

Sony Xperia XA1 Plus
The mid-range smartphone differs from the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact in multiple aspects. It features a 5.5-inch display with Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core (4 x 2.3GHz cores + 4 x 1.6GHz cores) MediaTek Helio P20 processor along with 4GB RAM and Mali T-880 MP2 GPU. The dual SIM smartphone runs Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box.
On the camera front, the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus sports a 23-megapixel Exmor RS sensor with hybrid autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and 24mm wide-angle lens. It also features an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 23mm wide-angle lens. and. Sony claims that it is capable of taking low-light photographs at an ISO 3200.
The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus measures 155 x 75 x 8.7mm and weighs 190 grams. It comes in White, Black, and Gold color options. The new handset is backed by a 3420mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0+ support. It comes with Sony ClearAudio+ sound technology. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type C port.
