Sony announced several new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Among the new devices are the Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra. The selfie-focussed smartphones come with several improvements over their predecessors including a Snapdragon 630 SoC. While the Sony Xperia XA2 is priced at $349.99 (approx Rs, 22,300), the XA2 Ultra will be available at $449.99 (approx Rs 28,700). Both handsets will be available in the US from February 16. In the UK, the new Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra will be available from February 22 at GBP 299 (approx Rs 27,000) and GBP 379 (approx Rs 34,200), respectively.
As of now, there is no information about the price and launch date. While the Sony Xperia XA1 is priced in India at Rs 16,990, the Xperia XA1 Ultra price starts from Rs 25,990.

Both new smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. While the Xperia XA2 is supported by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, the XA2 Ultra comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The internal storage on both devices can be expanded via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, both the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra sport 23MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture. However, the new handsets differ in terms of front camera. The Xperia XA2 sports a single 8MP fixed-focus camera. Whereas the XA2 Ultra sports a dual camera setup with a dedicated selfie flash. It combines an 8MP primary sensor with a 16MP secondary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS).
The Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra are backed by 3,300mAh and 3,580mAh batteries, respectively.

The new smartphones sport 16:9 displays with ultra-slim side bezels. While the Xperia XA2 features a 5.2-inch FullHD display, the XA2 Ultra comes with a larger 6.0-inch FullHD display. The fingerprint sensor is now placed on the back.
The new handsets run Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Xperia XA2 comes in silver, black, blue, and pink colour options. Whereas the Xperia XA2 Ultra will be available in silver, black, light blue, and gold options.

The new smartphones come with major improvements in terms of battery and processor. Sony also launched a new budget smartphone with a 5.5-inch HD display and 3GB RAM. The new Xperia L2 is also powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor. It is backed by 32GB internal storage (expandable) and a 3,300mAh battery.
