The Sony Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 are priced at Rs 14,990 and Rs 12,990, respectively. The new smartphones will be available from November 10th onwards across all Sony Center, major mobile stores and e-commerce portals (Amazon and Flipkart). Pre-registration starts from October 27 on Amazon India.

The new smartphones feature 5.2-inch TFT display with HD resolution. Both Xperia R1 Plus and R1 are powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. While the Xperia R1 Plus comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB UFS internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), the Xperia R1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB UFS internal memory. Both handsets are backed by a 2620 mAh battery.
Camera
Both the new Xperia R1 Plus and R1 sport a 13MP autofocus rear camera with Exmor sensor and a LED flash. The new camera comes with a special mode that captures 12 shots of an object at different moments of time (before or after the shutter click). You can easily choose your perfect picture.
Both smartphones feature a 8MP front camera with 76-degree wide angle for selfies and video calls. Additionally, the new handsets come with up to 3200 ISO range.

The new Xperia R1 Plus and R1 sport a clean design with a loop surface and 2.5D curved glass. Both measure 146 x 73.2 x 8.89mm and weighs 154g. Both handsets come in Black and Silver color options.
Thanks to the Snapdragon 430 Soc, the Xperia R1 Plus and R1 offer faster uploads and browsing via Uplink Data Compression (UDC). The new handsets allow you to make HD quality calls in 4G networks. The 4G VoLTE supporting smartphones are Android Oreo 8.0 upgrade ready.
Both devices are also ‘4G Broadcast Ready’ (soon to be launched network feature). It will allow offers better live event streaming, real-time TV streaming, and firmware file delivery. The traditional ‘One-to-One’ data streaming is replaced by ‘One-to-Many’ LTE broadcast solutions to offer congestion-free user experience.
