Sony Xperia M2 Dual SIM version launched at INR 21,990 with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

So finally after the single SIM variant of Sony Xperia M2, Sony made available the dual SIM variant of the Sony Xperia M2 in Indian market with a price tag of INR 21,990. The specifications of dual SIM variant are same as single SIM variant. The device will be available in the market from Friday. The single SIM variant Sony Xperia M2 was announced at MWC this year. The Dual SIM variant has dual active support that means both the SIMs can be active at the same time so one will never miss a call, even while attending a call too.

The Xperia M2 Dual is 8.6mm thick along with 148 grams weigh. The 4.8-inch TFT qHD display has 960*540pixel resolution. The smartphone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad core processor along with coupled with Adreno 305 GPU. The smartphone has 1GB RAM on board as well.

Sony Xperia M2 Hands on Review

The smartphone has 8GB of internal storage along with up to 32GB memory card support. At the back of smartphone there is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera along with Flash. The new Sony Xperia M2 comes with Sony’s premium camera apps like Social Live, Timeshift burst, AR Effect, Picture Effect, Background Defocus and Motion graph. There is a VGA front facing camera too at front for video calling and self-portrait.

The smartphone is powered by 2300mAh battery same as single SIM variant. It provides talk time up to 14 hours 14 min and standby time up to 693 hours.On the connectivity front, the smartphone is dual SIM smartphone along with both SIMs GSM support. On the other hand, it has latest Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and Wi-Fi.

The device is priced at INR 21,990. Although if you can spend INR 2000 more than Motorola’s Moto X is the biggest competitor of this smartphone. For 2000 more you get more features along with latest operating system Android 4.4 KitKat. The Moto X also has 2GB RAM and dual core processor that is best combination of hardware if we consider the performance of Moto X.
