The new mirrorless camera comes with a 50.1-megapixel full-frame stacked Exmor RS image sensor. It is capable of recording up to 8K 30fps videos.
The Sony Alpha 1 uses AI-based real-time tracking to automatically maintain focus. It comes with an OLED quad-XGA electronic viewfinder.
Sony claims that the new camera is the most advanced and innovative camera. Its advanced Real-time Eye AF is 30 percent better than the previous generation. Let’s take a closer look:

The Sony Alpha 1 sports a 50.1-megapixel 35mm full-frame stacked CMOS sensor. It comes with an ISO range of 100 to 32,000.
The mirrorless camera uses the company’s BIONZ XR engine for image processing. It can perform 30fps continuous shooting with AF/ AE tracking and has a fast hybrid auto-focus.
The Sony Alpha 1 comes with long exposure noise reduction. It also features an image sensor-shift mechanism with 5-axis compensation.
Connectivity options include a Micro-USB port, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, 3.5mm mic terminal, a LAN terminal, and a USB Type-C port that supports fast SuperSpeed USB 10-Gbps (USB 3.2) data transfer speeds.

The Sony Alpha 1 can record at 8K 30fps and at 4K 120fps videos. It can capture 8,640 x 5,760 pixels at 49.7-megapixel and 3:2 aspect ratio.
The full-frame mirrorless camera comes with an inbuilt microphone and monaural speaker. Storage options include two slots with support for SD card, SDHC card (UHS-I/ II-compliant), SDXC card (UHS-I/ II-compliant), and CFexpress Type A card.
The Sony Alpha 1 comes with a 1.6cm electronic viewfinder and a 2.95-inch touch TFT display that can be adjusted. There is also a mechanical/ electronically controlled shutter with a silent shooting feature.
The new camera is rated for around 430 shots with the viewfinder and around 530 shots with the LCD display. It can record videos for approximately 145 minutes using the viewfinder and approximately 150 minutes with the LCD screen.

The Sony Alpha 1 is priced in India at Rs 5,59,990 (body-only). It will be available for purchase from March 12.
In the US, the mirrorless camera was launched with a price tag of $6,498 (approx Rs 4.73 lakh).
