Price and Availability
The Sharp Aquos R2 Compact will be available for Japanese users in January. However, the company has not yet revealed the price of the new handset. It is not clear if the Android smartphone will ever make it to the Indian shores.

The new handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card slot (up to 512GB). It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Sharp Aquos R2 sports a 22.6-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. Camera features include high-speed autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), and ‘electronic handshake correction’. The 8-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture.

The Sharp Aquos R2 Compact features a 5.2-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and 2.5D tempered glass protection. It incorporating two display notches. While a waterdrop-shaped notch (on top) houses the camera sensor, a slightly wider notch at the bottom packs the fingerprint scanner.
The new handset measures 131 x 64 x 9.3mm and weighs 135 grams. It also supports Face Unlock feature. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and USB Type-C port.

It comes with a 32GB internal storage and 4.9-inch full-HD display. The compact smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor and 3GB RAM. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery. The photography needs are handled by a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
