Now, WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will allow users to send high-quality images to friends and family. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the new update in a Facebook post.

All images on WhatsApp are sent in a standard quality by default. To send an HD Photo, users will need to click on the HD icon shown in a chat thread. Here’s how:

How To Send HD Images In WhatsApp Chats

• Open WhatsApp and select any chat thread.
• Now, click on the attachment icon from the options placed at the bottom.
• Then, select the image you want to share.
• Next, you should see an HD icon at the top, next to options like rotate or crop.
• Select the HD button to send high-quality pictures, and hit send.
• That’s it! The receiver will also see an HD icon at the bottom left of the image.

Note: HD images consume more data and storage, in comparison to non-HD images.
