Google is expected to launch its second-gen Google Chromecast this month. As per reports, the company is holding an event on September 29 where it is likely to unveil its next-gen Chromecast alongside LG and Huawei made Nexus smartphones.

The Fast Play feature will let it connect to other devices in a faster and simpler manner. It is also said to come with Chromecast Audio feature which will enable users to connect it to speakers using an auxillary cord. While delivering high quality audio, it will also come with multi-room support.
Another speculated feature of second-gen Google Chromcast is improved Wi-Fi. While the previous-gen Chromecast supported 802.11b/g/n, the successor is likely to come with 802.11ac which is faster. It is also expected to come with a new feature which will enable users to add content feeds like social media feeds and image feeds to the home screen. On design front, the forthcoming Google Chromecast will have a balloon like shape and will be available in three color options- yellow, black and red.
Pricing & Availability
The second-gen Google Chromecast is likely to be unveiled on September 29, 2015. According to reports, it will be priced similar to the previous-gen Chromecast and will be initially rolled out for sale in 10 countries.
