Samsung launched its Notebook 9 laptops at CES 2016 in January. Now the company has updated its Notebook 9 series of laptops with Kaby Lake processors and some other additional features like light weight and sleek design. Samsung has unveiled two new laptops with 15-inch and 13.3-inch sizes. Both versions flaunt their edge-to-edge design with ultra thin bezels. Connectivity options include 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x HDMI port, mini Ethernet and microSD slot. Both laptops are equipped with USB Type-C port and support adaptive fast charge that fully charges the battery in just 80 minutes. The Notebook 9 laptops feature a fingerprint sensor and support Windows Hello feature as well that allows users to secure login with a single touch without typing a password.
The Windows 10 running 15-inch Notebook 9 features a full HD display that reclines up to 180 degrees. Under the hood, it packs up to Intel Core i7 processor with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage. It measures 347.9×229.4×14.9 mm and weighs 984 grams. The company claims it to survive for up to 12 hours on a single charge.
The 13.3-inch version on the other hand, weighs just 817 gram and measures 309.4x208x13.9 mm. With just 817 grams of weight, the company claims the 13.3-inch Notebook 9 to be the lightest laptop in this category. It features Micro Arc Oxidation (MAO) Rigidity technology for improved integrity, resiliency and thermal and shock resistance. As for specifications, the 13.3-inch version packs similar innards as the 15-inch model. It comes with Intel Core i5 or i7 processor.
