The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5-inch sports a TFT LCD display with WUXGA (1920 x 1200pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with Hexagon 546 DPS, and Adreno 506 GPU (built on a 14 nm LPP process).
The new tablet only comes in one variant – 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 400GB via a microSD card). It is backed by a 7,300mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Samsung tablet sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. You can record full HD videos at 30fps.

The new tablet runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Connectivity options include Samsung’s SmartThings, LTE Cat.6 support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS/ BeiDou3, and USB 2.0 (Type C) port.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5-inch measures 260.0 x 161.1 x 8.0mm and weighs 529g. It sports four speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, and Hall Sensor. However, it does not support Samsung Dex or S Pen.
The new Tab A also comes with a Kids Mode. It allows parents to manage content and usage time for their children. The Kids Mode includes a child-friendly interface, Kids Browser, and Galaxy Apps for Kids.
