While the Ice Blue variant comes with 128GB internal storage, the Polar Blue model comes in 64GB storage option. It will be available in India from December 10 at Rs 64,900. Pre-orders start from today.
In Europe, the new variant of Samsung Galaxy S9 is priced at EUR 849 (approx Rs 68,200), the Galaxy S9+ costs EUR 949 (approx Rs 76,200).

Both handsets are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9810 SoC (4 x 2.7GHz cores + 4 x 1.7GHz cores). While the Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB RAM, the Galaxy S9+ ships with 6GB RAM. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy S9 features a SuperSpeed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel autofocus sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization) and variable aperture (f/1.5-f/2.4). The Samsung Galaxy S9+, on the other hand, sports a dual rear camera setup with dual OIS. It combines a SuperSpeed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel autofocus f/1.5-f/2.4 wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel autofocus f/2.4 telephoto lens. Both models feature an 8-megapixel autofocus front camera with f/1.7 aperture.
Samsung claims that the new smartphones can capture 28 percent more light than their predecessors. Additionally, a new multi-frame noise reduction feature reduces the noise by up to 30 percent. The super slow-motion camera is capable of recording at 960fps (frames per second). This export footage can be used as a GIF or an animated wallpaper on the smartphone.

While the Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, the Galaxy S9+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It measures 158.1 x 73.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 189 grams.

The new smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. Connectivity options include Gigabit LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It with IP68 rating (water + dust resistance).
The new AR Emoji maps your facial expressions onto regular emojis. It lets you click a 3D picture of yourself and turn it into customized emoji. You can choose from 18 different expressions/emojis. These can then be used via the keyboard app. The Bixby Vision in the camera app offers live translation features. It can recognize the objects in a frame and offer information about the number of calories in food items.
Additional features include dual speakers (tuned by AKG Acoustics) with one downwards firing speaker, and the earpiece doubling up as the other channel. Users can also use a toggle in Quick Settings to enable Dolby Atmos Surround Sound.
