Design
The Samsung Galaxy S7 takes design cues from its predecessor Galaxy S6 and comes with metal and glass body. It features a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button, on the front and the camera bulge has slightly been reduced. It measures 142.4×69.6×7.9 mm and weighs 152 grams.
The LG G5 on the other hand, comes with a much refreshed design language and takes a huge departure from the design of the LG G4. The G5 flaunts its full metal body with a fingerprint sensor on the rear. It measures 149.4×73.9×7.7 mm and weighs 159 grams. The LG G5 boasts of its modular design and allows users to remove the battery.
Processor & RAM
The LG G5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor while the Galaxy S7 comes with either a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor or an octa-core Exynos processor. Both devices are paired with 4GB of RAM.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy S7 features a 5.1-inch Quad HD screen while the LG G5 packs a 5.3-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Both devices have always-on screens which show time, date and important notifications without waking up the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is reminiscent of erstwhile flagship smartphone Galaxy S6, but on performance and camera front, it does offer numerous improvements. The LG G5 on the other hand, has stolen the show with its all metal unibody modular design, a lot of hardware improvements, fingerprint sensor and more.
