The Galaxy S5 Mini comes with the same perforated leather back as the Galaxy S5 which renders a leather look to the device. Also, the material is anti slip and anti scratch/fingerprint which helps in improving the grip and makes it durable for long term usage. Apart from the premium build, the device also comes with superfast network capabilities (42 Mbps) for 3G and Wi-Fi networks. Fingerprint sensor is also present for unlocking the device and making PayPal purchases. HeartRate Monitor is present just below the camera unit for measuring the heart rate and clicking pictures (if a future update allows the option – Galaxy Note 4 already has this feature)

But the competition is catching up soon. HTC One Mini 2 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact which are set to launch in India come head to head with the Galaxy S5 Mini in terms of specifications and features. Also, the price of the device which is north of Rs. 25000 puts it in the league of LG Nexus 5 and Motorola Moto X (2nd Generation) both of which are pretty powerful and offer better media experience.
