Samsung has launched an upgraded variant of Galaxy J2 2016, called the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro, in India. The Galaxy J2 Pro comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage compared to 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory of the Galaxy J2 2016. Rest of the specifications and features of both variants are identical.
The Galaxy J2 Pro retains the Smart Glow ring and Turbo speed technology from the older sibling. The Smart Glow ring on the rear of the phone enables users to color code their contacts, apps and phone usage alerts. The Smart Glow ring also glows to alert users about low battery, storage and data usage and helps users in capturing selfies using the rear camera.
The Turbo Speed technology on the other hand, optimizes the inbuilt apps of the phone to deliver smooth performance. It makes sure that the phone takes the least amount of resources to complete a particular task in the fastest time. The Galaxy J2 Pro also comes with Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode powered by Opera Max and S bike mode.
As for specifications, it packs a 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and features a 5-inch HD sAMOLED (1280×720 pixels resolution) display. Other specifications of the phone include 16GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 8 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash, 5 mega pixel front facing camera and a 2600mAh battery.
