Samsung is reportedly working on a new smartphone in the J series, called the Samsung Galaxy J2. Leaked specifications of the device have started making rounds online.
The Galaxy J2 is rumored to be powered by a 32-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The device is said to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and feature a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 800×480 pixels resolution. It will sport a 5 mega pixel rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. There will be 8GB of inbuilt storage which will be capable of further expandability using microSD card. Backed up by a 2000mAh battery, it is likely to measure 136x69x8.3 mm in dimensions.

Pricing and availability details are likely to be revealed at the time of launch. However it is said that India might be the first country where the device will be launched.
The predecessor Samsung Galaxy J1 on the other hand comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor clubbed with 512MB of RAM. It features a 4.3 inch WVGA TFT (480×800 pixels resolution) display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system . Other specifications of the device include 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card), 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and 1850mAh battery. It measures 129×68.2×8.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 122 grams.
