As per the SIG certification, the Galaxy J2 Core will be available in seven variants – SM-J260F, SM-J260M, SM-J260Y, SM-J260F_DS, SM-J260G_DS, SM-J260M_DS, and SM-J260Y_DS. While there is no confirmation about the launch date and price of the upcoming handset, it is expected to be priced at Rs 6,999. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is said to be launched on Sep 27, 2018.

As per latest reports and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core will be the first Android Go smartphone. It sports a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The Android handset is powered by a 1.43GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor along with Mali-T720 MP1 and 1GB RAM. The 8GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the upcoming smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 2600mAh battery.

The new smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system (Go Edition) with Samsung UI on top. It is expected to available in two color options – Black and Gold. Connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB.
The latest Android Oreo (Go edition) is optimized for the entry-level handsets. It comes with built-in data management features and security benefits. This includes a new set of Google apps such as new Files Go app, Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, Peer-to-Peer Sharing, Google Play Protect, and Find My Device.
