As per a teaser image we got from one of our sources, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 is coming to India exclusively on Snapdeal in the 3rd week of Feb 2015. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 is the successor of the popular Grand 2 which is a high volume mid segment phone known for its large display and relatively lower price. The phone will feature a 5.25 inch HD display, quad core CPU, a set of powerful cameras (13 MP and 5 MP at rear and front respectively). The price of the same is expected to be around Rs. 20,000 mark. Since it is an exclusive launch with Snapdeal, the pricing will be aggressive. Stay tuned for more details as they unveil. Samsung is expected to soon launch its new smartphone- Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 in India, as the successor of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which was launched last year in 2013. The images and specifications of the smartphone have been spotted online. Also, it has been reported that Galaxy Grand 3 has got the approval from the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center of China, which makes us to expect its launch soon in India.
Grand 3 is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 (64-bit) CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. It gets a 5.25 inch screen which is the same as that of Grand 2. This upcoming smartphone was earlier rumored to get a 5.5 inch display.
It is likely to entail 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It differs from its predecessor on imaging front. It comes with a 13 mega pixel rear camera and 5 mega pixel front facing camera to attract selfie obsessed buyers. Its older sibling though, comes with 8 mega pixel rear camera and 1.9 mega pixel front shooter. It also distinguishes itself from Grand 2 in terms of measurement. With 146 x 74.8 x 7.95 mm dimensions and 140 grams weight, this smartphone is lighter and sleeker than Grand 2.

Galaxy Grand 3 comes with handful of changes and it does not come with any distinguishing feature than its predecessor Grand 2 except for the premium quality camera for video calling, taking stunning shots and clicking great selfies. Also, it differs in dimensions with much lighter weight and sleeker measurements as compared to Grand 2 which weighs 163 grams and measure 146.8×75.3×8.9 mm.
Competitors
It will compete with the similar hot smartphone offerings like Sony Xperia T3 Ultra and HTC Desire 820.
Lying in the similar price range and equipped with similar features, Sony Xperia T3 is one of the rivals to compete with upcoming Grand 3. It is powered by 1.4 GHz
While HTC Desire 820 comes with Octa-Core Cortex A53 processor, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, sports a 5.5 inch display and houses a 13 mega pixel rear camera and 8 mega pixel front camera with 2600 mAh battery on board.
Price and Availability
The information about the pricing and availability of this smartphone is still unknown. Expect it to be launched between the price range of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000.
